1 of 7

Every week we have over 10,000 bikes for sale online and in the paper. Look carefully and you can find gems at amazing prices.

Here’s my picks of the week to suit any budget:

Yamaha SuperTenere

UNDER £1000 – 1996 Yamaha XJ600 Diversion, £599
A lot of cheap bike for the money which would be perfect as a winter hack. Described as a bit tatty.
We say: Will do a load of winters without drama. At this price worth a look.

Kawasaki ZX-6R

UNDER £2000 – 1998 Honda VFR800, £1950
A lovely bike with FSH that has clearly been well loved and maintained.
We say: One of Honda’s best V4s, the VFR800 is a great all-rounder.

Yamaha R1

UNDER £3000 – 2001 Kawasaki ZRX1200, £2999
Very clean bike with just 22,000 on the clock with FSH and some choice aftermarket parts too.
We say: Modern twist on the 1980s Z1000R, with modern power and handling.

Triumph Sprint ST

UNDER £4000 – 2000 Honda CBR1100XX Super Blackbird, £3695
Sold and serviced by the dealer with lots of extras fitted already.
We say: One of the best Hondas of all time, and rides well today.

Honda Hornet 600

UNDER £5000 – 2006 BMW K1200R, £4499
A big chunk of BMW speed from a main dealer with electronic suspension and 29k miles.
We say: Heavy, fast and well made the K1200R will entertain anyone

Harley XR1200

UNDER £6000 – 2010 triumph Street Triple 675, £5250
Only seven months old and has been kept in the house. Immaculate with 800 miles on the clock.
We say: There are few other bikes that will make you grin like a Street Triple.
