This year's Festival of Speed was launched recently, and MCN's Michael Neeves was lucky enough to ride the course.
Neeves said: "I was lucky enough to ride Chris Wilson's 1981 Kawasaki KR500 four-cylinder two-stroke Grand Prix bike up the hill.
"Aside from pegs positioned so high I could barely get my feet on them, the Kawasaki is incredible. It steers sweetly, brakes superbly and goes like stink.
"It takes some getting used to and you have to keep the revs spinning above 5000rpm just to stop it from stalling!"
