Two-wheeled thieves steal dog

Motorcycle-riding thieves struck in a bizarre way this week – by using the machine to snatch, not jewels or cash – but a Cavalier King Charles spaniel puppy!

The dog-nappers struck aboard a machine resembling a Yamaha WR125R in West Bromwich, wedging the 16-week-old pup between them as they made their getaway. The crime, as pictured, was captured on CCTV.

The brown and white spaniel, Alfie, was snatched from owner Pauline Parsons. According to reports, the pillion jumped off the bike, grabbed the dog by the neck and climbed back on before the pair rode off.

The £400 pet was later returned unharmed.
