Tory Councillor exposed as Outlaws member

A Tory councillor has been exposed as member of the notorious Outlaws Motorcycle Club.

Jim Mason, cabinet member on Tewkesbury Council and a former mayor, is allegedly a full-patch member of the club.

The Outlaws is classed as an organised crime group by police, although the club denies this. In 2007 Outlaws members shot dead a Hells Angel on the M40.

News of Mason’s double life emerged as Sky News published pictures of him in full Outlaws garb and associating with other members.

Mason told Sky he “is not a member of the Outlaws and hasn’t been for some time”.

He has been a Tewkesbury councillor since 1999 and was mayor from 2003-4.
There is no suggestion he has been involved in illegality.
