Do we need electronic rider aids? You decide.

Hi, it’s Michael Neeves, Senior Road tester here and I’m looking for willing volunteers to help me with a road test feature.

I would like to invite a couple of you to try some bikes fitted with and without traction control and ABS, to see what you think of electronic rider aids. The bikes would include the 2012 R1, so only very experienced riders need apply. It would be really nice to get regular users of our website and forum along, particularly gixercal, if he can make it…

The test isn’t fully organised yet, but I hope to do it sometime during week commencing 12th December and it would most likely take place at a test track like Blyton Park, near Gainsborough.

All you’d need to do is get yourself to the venue with your riding kit, first thing in the morning and then take part in a series of riding tests to see how comfortable you are with and without rider aids. I’ll even buy you lunch – although you’ll have to eat it out of the back of a van, as there’s no café there!
