Silverstone trackdays with racing champions

World and British Superbike champions along with current star riders are lined up to help out at a series of trackdays at Silverstone as instructors with every level of rider catered for.

Double World Superbike champion Troy Corser, three-times British Superbike champions Niall Mackenzie and John Reynolds are all going to be involved in a series of events on the track that now hosts the British MotoGP.

The first event will have the top-level ‘Ultimate Sport’ which will have Corser as special guest and instructor throughout the day on August 9. Working alongside Silverstone’s team of instructors, Corser will be running riding clinics throughout the day providing riders in the ‘Ultimate Sport’ group with advice and guidance both on and off track.

Corser said: “I’m looking forward to hosting the Ultimate Sport group at Silverstone and imparting my knowledge to help riders shave those extra seconds off a lap time or confidence in their riding ability.”

Running out of the massvie new Wing buildings and pitlane the Silverstone track days are split into four group options. They are:

– Street Sport #1 (£129 per person) is ideal for first-time track riders, or for those with limited experience

– Street Sport #2 (£129 per person) is aimed at more experienced road or track riders who prefer to take their fun seriously, prepare their machinery properly and want room on the track to hone their skills

– Street Sport #3 (£129 per person) would typically be the advanced group on a regular bike track day. If you’re a seasoned track dayer or racer then this would be the group for you

Ultimate Sport (£195 per person) will be hosted by Corser and is designed for confident riders who are serious about improving their riding skills, whether on the road or track

Suzuki All-Star Track Day
Following the day with Corser, Suzuki has joined forces with Silverstone to provide a Suzuki All-Star Track Day on September 4, running on the International Circuit.
Now an annual event for the Japanese manufacturer, this year’s event boasts a price of £129 and will feature six Suzuki race stars, including BSB rider Josh Brookes, WSB-star Leon Camier, PJ Jacobsen, Jules Cluzel, Taylor Mackenzie and John Reynolds.

On top of the track action, attendees will also enjoy expert tuition, a chance to experience the pit set up from the Tyco Suzuki team, a £10 food voucher to exchange in the Media Café, all day refreshments in the garage areas, optional tours of The Wing complex and a goodie bag.
