Lazareth’s mighty Maserati V8 powered behemoth

Some things are just plain nuts. The LM847 falls directly into that category. It’s a strange cross between a quad bike and a motorcycle – with its four wheels paired up so closely that you can lean it like a proper bike.

Built by French car and motorcycle fabricator Ludovic Lazareth, this is more than just some crazy concept though. It actually works!

The machine is a bit of a heffer weighing in at 400kg, but it will still move thanks to the mighty 4.7-litre Maserati engine. The V8 is pushing out a massive 470hp and 458ftlb of torque!

The bike only has one gear, which is transmitted via a hydraulic coupler. This does away with the traditional gearbox design and reduces the energy loss that is traditionally associated with changing gear.

It isn’t the first monster bike we’ve come across though, if this is what tickles your fancy then check out the 500hp Millyard Viper V10.
