Poll: So we’ve got £4000 to spend on a bike…

A second hand bike will be part of the MCN long term test fleet this year and we’d like you to help us pick one out. We’ve looked at the most searched for models on Bikes for Sale in 2016 and narrowed it down to the following:

• Yamaha R1
• Suzuki Hayabusa

If it was your £4k to spend which one would you buy?

The bike needs to be roomy enough for my six foot four, 15 stone frame and durable enough for year round commuting plus a couple of long(ish) touring trips both UK and abroad. I’m a reasonably quick(ish) road rider but I’m not going anywhere near a track day, (unless it’s to watch). I also like doing my own servicing.

Or perhaps our £4k would be better spent on a completely different bike?
