Beach Bobber is Harley's Custom King

Shaw Harley-Davidson have been crowned 2017 UK Custom Kings, after their Beach Bobber Forty Eight beat other Harley dealers across the country.

The Beach Bobber was built by Shaw’s Head Custom Technician Neil Sefton and Service Manager Simon Pocock, and the result is unlike anything they’ve created before. “The bike is very different to the norm because Battle Of The Kings gave us the opportunity to do something a little bit old school and retro with a touch of fun,” said Simon.

Builders didn’t have complete free rein to create whatever they could dream up, they were limited to using the Iron 883, Forty Eight and Roadster models, with the prices for resale of the finished bikes being capped at £12,995 for the Iron 883, £14,995 for the Forty-Eight and £14,995 for the Roadster.

As a result Shaw’s used £5000 worth of official Harley parts for the Beach Bobber. The end result is certainly a worthy winner, with a skateboard bashplate and custom one-off exhaust which looks incredibly loud.

The Beach Bobber will now go up against the rest of Custom King winning bikes from around the world, with the winner set to be announced at EICMA in November 2017.
