Ducati is offering a cut-price version of its base model superbike for 2010, dubbed the 848 dark.
It costs £700 less than the stock 848 despite sharing the same 849cc engine, steel trellis frame and high quality chassis parts.
The only difference is a matt-black paint finish on the bodywork rather than the gloss white or red colours offered on the standard 848.
MCN has just finished the first exclusive right of the cut-price Duke – so is it a bargain way in to Ducati ownership, or should you pay the extra for a gloss painted 848?
Find out MCN’s verdict in the April 7 issue.
