Suzuki GSX1250FA first ride - 'the bargain tourer of the year'

1 of 1

MCN’s Chris Newbigging is in Gerona, Spain at the launch of the new Suzuki GSX1250FA. Here are his first impressions after riding Suzuki’s new fully-faired tourer:

“The Suzuki GSX1250FA looks set to be the bargain tourer of the year at just £6,999. Technically it’s very similar to the 1250 Bandit. The GSX1250 is slightly heavier, has a different radiator and revised fork settings, but it’s otherwise identical.

“As such it feels a lot like a Bandit to ride, but the full fairing gives extra wind protection and added comfort to the already comfortable upright Bandit seating position.

“The new bike comes with ABS as standard and it’s proving to be unobtrusive – it hasn’t kicked in on the greasy roads we’re testing it on.

“Overall the new GSX1250FA is a comfortable, easy to ride bike at a bargain price and the money you save over it’s rivals would pay for a big European touring trip.”
