First Ride: Ducati Monster 1200S

MCN is in Spain, Tenerife for the launch of the all new Ducati Monster 1200s and today MCN’s senior road tester Adam Child will be putting the new 145bhp naked bike to the test

The full test of the all new water-cooled Monster 1200S will be in the forthcoming issue of MCN out on Wednesday.

The new Monster 1200s is now water-cooled, powered by the superbike derived 1198 testastretta DS engine similar to the Multistrada. The S version also boasts fully adjustable Ohlins suspension front and rear. Both the 1200S and standard version will benefit from Ducati’s unique safety pack (DSP) which incorporates three level ABS, eight level traction control and which can be selected and personalised via the three rider modes.

Both models should be in the UK in march, the standard model costing £10,695 and the 1200s £12995.
