Your posts help Suzuki decide to bring in GSX1400

You posted that you wanted it, now Suzuki is going to give it to the UK; the GSX1400.

When we revealed the GSX1400 earlier this year, Suzuki GB had no plans to bring it into this country despite the popularity of retro styled machines.

But demand from people like you on the Talk News board has made the firm decide to order a shipment from Japan. They should be in showrooms next month.

The 1402cc musclebike is Suzuki’s first ever air-cooled fuel injected model and should retail at around the £5999 mark, similar to the 1200cc Bandit.

Although Suzuki wouldn’t say exactly how many bikes we can expect to see a spokesman did confirm that there would be " enough to meet demand. "

The GSX1400 is already a big seller in Japan, where it is considered the company’s flagship machine. Its engine is a completely new design and is the largest capacity four-cylinder motor Suzuki has ever produced.

UK bikes will be the full power 104bhp version and not the restricted 98bhp machines the Japanese buyers have to make do with. It produces a whopping 93ftlb of torque, just 10ftlb short of the Hayabusa and 20ftlb more than a GSX-R1000. In the UK, it will be available in three paint schemes – blue/white, grey and candy blue.
