Radical Firebolt to hit showrooms in April

1 of 1

Buell has revealed when its radical Firebolt will hit UK showrooms and how much it will cost.

You’ll find it at dealers from April priced at £7345 on the road.

The Firebolt caused a stir when we revealed first pictures of it last year because it has many unusual design features such as: Rim mounted front brake discs, fuel stored in the frame and oil stored in the swingarm.

It has ultra-sharp geometry and a very low centre of gravity which suggest a fine-handling machine. Initial reports from U.S. testers suggest it may not quite deliver what it promises on that front.

The price will pitch the Buell against Yamaha’s Fazer 1000 (which is listed at £6999) the, Honda Hornet 900 (£5999), Ducati Monster S4 (£7700) and Triumph Speed Triple £7999.

The firm will continue to market the current Buell M2 Cyclone and X1 Lightening alongside the Firebolt. The Cyclone will retail at £6645 OTR and will come in black with silver wheels, grey with orange wheels and frame and blue with a black frame and silver wheels. The Lightening will retail at £7495 OTR in black and blue, white and blue and yellow and black.
