Ducati updates ST tourers

1 of 1

It has been a busy time for Ducati’s designers. Not content with a new 999 and Multistrada, revamping the Monster and SS ranges, they’re tackling the ST2 and ST4 tourers, too.

You can read more about the updated ST range in the new MCN, out July10.

Both the air-cooled ST2 and water-cooled ST4 will get new engines and looks.

Factory sources have told MCN that head designer Pierre Terblanchelanche has finished the restyling job already and that the bikes will be in production early next year. Details of the changes remain a closely guarded secret.

The ST2 is likely to receive the 1000TS air-cooled engine developed for the all-new Multistrada. It combines air-cooled simplicity with power enhancing technology from the range-topping Testastretta engine.

The 916cc ST4 is likely to be dropped, leaving the ST4S, with its 996cc version of the Desmoquattro motor, as the only water-cooled tourer in Ducati’s range.
