Honda release Dream 50R

Honda has released a racing version of its classic styled 50cc street racer, the Dream 50.

The new race-spec Dream 50R echoes Honda racers of the 1960s but uses a modern twin-cam 49cc engine and ’60s GP styling. In the race-kitted HRC version the motor revs to 17,500rpm and also features an oil catch tank, fully-adjustable rear shocks, pre-load adjustable front forks and sticky BT39SS tyres on skinny 2.5 inch-wide, 18-inch diameter wheels. It weighs just 71kg and makes a heady 7bhp! Sadly they’re only available in Japan and will go on sale from March.
