New GSX-Rs for 2004

1 of 1

Suzuki has launched the latest version of its GSX-R600 at the Milan motorcycle show and surprised many by launching an all-new GSX-R750.

The company is now the only Japanese manufacturer to continue with a 750cc sports bike after the demise of the class in World Superbikes, but the 2004 GSX-R will definitely provide an attractive alternative to the 1000cc bikes.

The new GSX-R600 weighs in at a class leading 161kg and puts out and estimated 120bhp. The 750 gains only 2kg on its smaller sibling but has a massive power output of 148bhp – enough to match a 2003 R1 or FireBlade.

The styling on both has been updated to bring them in line with the look of the GSX-R1000 and both feature radially-mounted brakes and upside down forks.

For full details on both bikes check out this week’s MCN, out now.
