Cops target ZZ-R14

1 of 1

The ZZ-R1400 attracts attention wherever it goes – but in the case of the German police, it’s attention MCN’s Adam ‘Chad’ Child could have done without.

He’s on the European launch of the new Kawasaki and on Tuesday lunchtime (April 4, 2006) he was riding the bike and taking part in a photoshoot together with other European journalists.

The German cops have twice moved the group on when they stopped for photos. When Chad sent this pic they had pulled up six riders and were going through all the paperwork with a fine-tooth comb.

The police noted the route the testers were riding and at one stage suggested they would escort them back to their hotel.

We can’t imagine what’s bothered the local boys in blue. Must be envy.

Chad had his licence with him. Two riders didn’t and that’s an instant fine. Luckily it’s only 10 Euros a pop. Fine paid – and they were back on their way.

Read Chad’s full report – together with the answers to your questions about the ZZ-R1400 – only in MCN out on April 12, 2006.
