Video: 1200cc Ducati

Ducati’s 1200cc sportsbike is just over the horizon but famed engine-builder Franco Farne has beaten them to it with a finished bike – and you can watch the video of it below.

Farne took the chassis of a 749, put a 999 engine in it, the proceeded to bore out the engine to 1210cc, giving it 190bhp at the rear wheel.

The bike was developed for WSB team boss Stefano Caracchi for use as a track bike ande is now even more powerful than Roberto Rolfo’s WSB spec machine.
