Figures released last week show that bike sales are up by 10% compared to this month in 2006.

The Motor Cycle Industry Association document shows that adventure style bikes are showing the biggest growth with a 32.9% increase (almost one third) over year-to-date figures from 2006.

The current top-seller is Suzuki’s new-for-2007 GSX-R1000 with 1392 sales to date, followed by the Yamaha YZF-R6 with 1226 bikes sold. Suzuki’s whole GSX-R range features in top ten – as well the 1000, the 600 and 750 models sold 902 and 994 respectively, putting them 6th and 5th in the table.
