Milan Show: Bimota DB7 Oronero

1 of 7

Bimota has just revealed the carbon-framed DB7 Oronero at the Milan show.

The bike is based around the same basic design as the standard Bimota DB7 launched earlier this year, but is eight kilograms lighter thank to the front section of the frame, the central section of the swingarm and all of the bodywork being made from carbon fibre. Claimed dry weight is 164kg, compared to 172kg for the standard model

The Bimota DB7 Oronero uses the same 1099cc v-twin sourced from Ducati’s 1098, but a more free-flowing exhaust gives an extra 2bhp compared to the DB7, taking power to a claimed 164bhp, giving one horsepower per kilo power to weight ratio.

Delivery of the first Bimota DB7 Oroneros will be at the end of January, costing 39,960 euros in Italy.
