Kawasaki’s 1400GTR hyper-tourer has received a major make-over for 2010 with one goal only – to leapfrog BMW’s reigning K1300GT as top dog in the class.

To find out if it has achieved just that we’ve ridden all the way to BMW’s back garden, Germany, to ride the bikes head-to-head.
