Suzuki’s all-new GSX1250FA made its UK debut at the NEC in Birmingham today.

The new 1250 is the big brother of the GSX650F, which was launched in 2007 and went on to become MCN’s Sports Tourer of the Year.

It has a classic tube frame, 43mm front forks, single rear shock with pre-load adjustability.

It is equipped with Suzuki’s sophisticated digital fuel injection system. Other highlights include a large intake (31mm) and exhaust (27mm) valves, Suzuki’s own nickel-phosphorous-silicon-carbide cylinder coating, to reduce piston friction and a 6-speed gearbox.

The 1250FA has digital ABS as standard and an adjustable seat. It also has a gear position indicator and shift light as part of the functional and easy to read instrument cluster.

Suzuki GB marketing manager, George Cheeseman said: ” We are delighted to unveil the all-new GSX1250FA here at the show.

“The GSX650F proved to be extremely popular and we have no doubt that the 1250 will follow in its footsteps. While it’s too early to talk of a price, we expect the new bike to be competitive, offering a versatile and sporty ride that doesn’t bust the bank.”
