Ion electric motorcycle

American design student Tom Miceli has just put the finishing touches to his latest college project. A fully functioning prototype electric motorcycle.

Miceli built the bike as part of his Industrial design degree at Appalachian state university. The ‘Ion’ was designed and completed in just one term and unlike most university projects, this bike can actually be ridden.

The Ion is powered by a three phase, 46hp motor, claims a top speed of 80mph and a range of 60 miles.
