Rossi's dad unveils production 530cc single

1 of 9

This 530cc single-cylinder, light-weight dirt tracker is called the Zaeta 530. It’s the creation of Italian engineer Paolo Chiaia and the father of everyone’s favourite Italian racer: Graziano Rossi.

Regular MCN readers may remember it being prototyped last summer as the Ouroboros Zaeta 530; the mysterious Ouroboros moniker has now been dropped. The Zaeta 530 will be distributed in Italy by Bologna-based firm Royal McQueen.

Big selling points, apart from the rugged, minimal looks, are the 115kg wet weight rating and completely customisable livery, chassis and seat options.

The downside is the €13,500 price tag, but to compensate for this buyers placing orders within 2010 get two free track lessons with flat track champion Marco Belli.
