Aprilia has just released this picture of its new maxi-scoot – the SRV850.
It’s basically an updated, face-lifted version of sister-company Gilera’s GP800. The Noale firm took a similar approach recently when it launched the SR Max 300 scoot which was also essentially an updated, facelifted version of Gilera’s Nexus.
The SRV has the same basic rolling chassis as the GP800, being an 850cc V-twin good for 76bhp held in a twin beam chassis with a motorcycle-style swing arm and chain final drive.
The front fairing is all new, however, and features styling reminiscent of Aprilia’s RSV4 superbike.
The SRV850 is expected to be publicly unveiled at the Milan show next month.
