Cologne Show: Suzuki GSX-R1000 ABS and other new Suzukis

1 of 8

• 999cc liquid-cooled inline-four
• 182bhp / 86lbft
• Now with ABS as standard

Dreams of an all-new GSX-R1000 for 2015 will have to stay just that, with the only update for the flagship 1000 being the saddition of ABS as standard fitment. The bonus is that there’s no price increase, so it’ll remain at £10,999. MotoGP stalkers, however, will be delighted with the new GSX-RR-aping paintjob.

Address 110
• 113cc liquid-cooled single
• 20.6 litre luggage capacity
• 117mpg

This is the new Address 110, giving Suzuki scooter lovers something other than the chunkier Burgman 125 to bustle around town on. The big headline is the 117mpg fuel consumption figure, which the firm claims to be class leading, and giving around 160 miles between fill-ups. Expected to be priced at around £1800.

Bandit 1250 S
• 1255cc liquid-cooled inline-four
• 97bhp / 80lbft
• Return of the half-fairing

The semi-naked Bandit 1250 has been missing from our shores for a couple of years, but s back again for 2015 with revised bikini fairing and headlamp, and ABS as standard fitment.

It’s a clean looking and capable workhorse, able to reward you with reasonably spirited weekend rides, and incredibly good value at around £7500.

Inazuma 250 F
• 248cc liquid-cooled single
• 124bhp / 16lbft
• Now with a full fairing

This slightly aesthetically challenged new version of the popular Inazuma 250 will doubtless appeal to quarter-litre fans looking for a bit more weather protection on the daily commute.

Beneath the volumous airing, it’s the same little bike that has charmed many into ownership over the last two years. Expect to pay £3500.
