Iconic Italian firm MV Agusta has teamed up with reigning World Formula One championLewis Hamilton to release a new version of the Dragster 800 RR.

Hamilton is said to have worked with the MV Agusta Castiglioni Research Centre (CRC) in San Marino to ensure the bike’s specification and performance were to his choice.

The Dragster 800 RR is an 800cc three-cylinder bike with a host of upgrades over the standard bike although MV is giving no actual details of what has been changed on the Lewis Hamilton special edition. There is a video of the bike with Mercedes F1 driver and championship leader Hamilton doing a burn-out on it and we can see there are a lot of parts painted red including the rearsets and wheels.

Giovanni Castiglioni, President and CEO of MV Agusta, said: “We are proud to be partnering with a passionate racer like Lewis Hamilton. It is great news for us and for everyone around the world that loves MV Agusta”.

All limited edition Lewis Hamilton Dragster RR bikes will be hand-built at the main Varese headquarters in Italy.
