Boot review: Sidi Vertigo Gore-Tex

Published: 27 January 2010

Sidi Vertigo Gore-Tex, £230
Miles covered/time:
Three months/1500 miles

What’s good? They’re warm and they’ve so far been 100% waterproof (and let’s face it, the weather doesn’t get much worse than it has been in recent months).

I like my all-weather boots to come with at least a smattering of sports style, so they tick that box, too.

The closure system is reassuringly solid, and the clever Sidi disc closure system at the rear works nicely, too, allowing you to tailor the fit once you’re safely in.

What’s not? Very little, but for some strange reason I had to go a size down from my normal boot size.

This isn’t going to alter my riding pleasure, but it’s perhaps worth bearing in mind if you were thinking about buying a pair through a mail order company over the internet.
