Product review: Icon DKR gloves

Published: 17 May 2017

MCN Web Producer, Liam Marsden, tested these Icon DKR gloves (£50.35) over seven months across 500 miles.

Here's how he got on...

What’s good? Some winter gloves can be fiddly when it comes to fastening them and getting them to sit over or under your sleeve, but these gloves make it easy. They use a clever wrist fastening which is literally just a strap that you pull to tighten it.

No faffing about and it’s easy to do with the gloves on. According to Icon the DKR gloves offer their best waterproofing protection, and so far this has proven accurate. I’ve used the gloves in some biblical rain and never once have they let any water through. Seriously impressive.

What’s not? There’s zero protection anywhere on the gloves. They’re also not as warm as I was expecting – don’t use them in the depths of winter.
