Jacket review: Rukka Nico

What’s good? I thought I would have to wait for winter to review this jacket but thanks to the English summer I’m able to bring it to you early.

I've only worn this jacket without the detachable thermal-lining and its been plenty warm enough even on some of the cooler evenings with only a T-shirt underneath.

The armour is excellent, you hardly notice it is there as it is very flexible allowing you to move freely.

The rain has never made it through and I have been out in some of the most fantastic downpours.

Very good reflective areas for high visibility at night.

What’s not? After a really good soaking, I hang the Rukka up to dry overnight. I find it takes a long time for the outer to dry unless you have the central heating on, so its damp collar and cuffs the next day.

I have found the contents of my outer pockets rather damp, so keeping things in the inner pockets is a must.
