What’s good about the Kriega US-30 Drypack?
I have plenty of experience of Kriega’s US-20 tailpack but I needed something a little larger for a longer trip so the 30-litre US-30 was perfect. I could pack in almost everything I needed for a three-day trip and mounting it to the bike couldn’t be easier. All you have to do is attach one end of the straps to a solid part of the bike and then clip the tailpack in place and pull the straps tight to compress it down. It has remained completely watertight despite experiencing lashing rain on one trip. Strapping my US-20 to the top to add extra capacity is a cinch too. As with all Kriega gear, the build quality is amazingly good and is covered by a long warranty against faults.
And what’s not?
The one-ended opening means you have to either work out what you might need next and put it at one end, or be prepared to keep taking stuff in and out of the bag. It’s quite pricy compared to some tailpacks.
