I've been using this tank bag for the last four months and, at £180.43 it might seem pricy, but the quality makes up for it.
This tankbag oozes quality. It has a handle at the front so it can be carried around like a bag and also has a shoulder strap if the going gets heavy. If you need some more space, the bag also has expander panels, although I’ve barely used those as I find it’s big enough in its standard form. The side pockets hold a decent wedge of your valuables and the clear top pocket is good for maps, instructions or a shopping list! There is a waterproof cover, but I’ve not used it and have had no issues with water getting in, despite riding through some pretty serious cloudbursts. The bag fits on my Ducati SuperSport S, although it does make getting the key in and out of the ignition a little tricky. The super-strong magnets keep the bag in place brilliantly, although you have to be careful not to get grains of grit or gravel on them or you risk scratching the tank. It’s proved a practical godsend and means I don’t have to lug a rucksack around on my already rickety old back.
Just the cost. You can get tankbags for as little as £30, so it’s hard to justify spending four times that. But, it fits the bike perfectly, as it’s a Ducati official accessory and I reckon it’ll last ten years if it’s looked after – so £18 a year seems ok.
