This R6 proves you don’t need to spend a fortune on a bike to have great thrills and is today’s bike of the day
“This R6 wants for literally nothing and it’s been a fantastic bike. I bought it nearly 4 years ago from a woman who was the one and only owner, with only 8000miles. It always starts first time without fail and is regularly treated with fs365 and ACF50 anti corrosion sprays. It’s also always been kept under a cover or garaged with a full tank of fuel.
“It is 14-year-old bike and there is a mark on engine casing and lower fairing where bike was blown over in the wind. There are a couple of small stone chips. It comes with the original tool kit, owner’s manual, Leo Vince and OE exhaust, OE rear plate holder with indicators, K&N air filter, Haynes manual and a paddock stand.
“It was serviced last year and included the valve clearances and also had braided Goodridge lines along with new front and rear sprockets and a Renthal chain fitted.”
“There is something very satisfying about riding a bike as analogue as the R6. If you want a cheap track hack, a cosmetically tatty carbed R6 would fit the bill perfectly, while those wanting a budget supersport bike with a bit of spirit should also give one a go.”
