Harris to miss Knockhill

1 of 1

Karl Harris has lost his battle to be fit for the Knockhill round of the MCN-backed British Superbike series on Sunday, July 7.

The 22-year-old broke his wrist after crashing heavily at Oulton Park on May 6 after Crescent Suzuki teammate John Reynolds’ GSX-R1000 let go.

Despite intensive physiotherapy Harris was still in pain on the bike and Crescent boss Paul Denning decided not to risk him.

Denning told MCN: ” Karl could ride – but we feel that it’s better for him to rest and complete his recovery. That way he’ll have five weeks until Thruxton and we want him fully fit and on the podium. ”

David Jefferies will again deputise for Harris.
