Motocross des Nations switches to Spain

The Motocross des Nations event scheduled to take place next week in California, USA has been cancelled, and will now take place in Spain in October.

With only a week until the event, there were legal problems regarding the event, with the United States Department of the Interior stating ” the Department believes the motocross project is an illegal operation and has to be shut down. ” This was the final straw, after long-running doubts and rumours about the Competition Park facility and the American local event promoters.

Dorna Off-Road has announced a re-scheduled Moto des Nations taking place in Bellpuig, Spain, on October 19-20. The question will be how many riders and teams will make the change at such short notice? The list of riders who may now miss the event include Ricky Carmichael, Stefan Everts, Mickael Pichon, Jamie Dobb, Chad Reed and Josh Coppins.
