Rutter wins season opener

Michael Rutter has won the first race of the 2004 BSB season, with team-mate Ryuichi Kiyonari taking second for the HM Plant Honda team.

Rutter started from pole at the Silverstone track and managed to give himself the best possible start to the season. It was a race for the Japanese manufacturers, with the Rizla Suzuki duo of John Reynolds and Yukio Kagayma finishing third and fourth, with the MonsterMob Ducati of Sean Emmett in fifth.
