Leon Haslam is on provisional pole for the British Superbike round at Cadwell park after the first qualifying session.

Haslam recorded a time of 1:27.28 seconds on the Airwaves Ducati, which saw him go fastest, and finally topple the leader of the practice sessions, Tommy Hill. Completing the provisional front row is Karl Harris on the Honda FireBlade.

Glen Richards is fourth fastest for Hawk Kawasaki, with Jonathan Rea in fifth. The HM Plant Hondas are futher down the field than would be expected, with Michael Rutter sixth, and Ryuichi Kiyonari in 10th.

And privateer James Buckingham has put his Suzuki into eighth place on the grid, which puts him ahead of the Rizla bikes of James Haydon and John Reynolds.

Second qualifying takes place later this afternoon.
