BMW ladies off-road day

1 of 1

After noticing more and more women coming on its off road skills course BMW has decided to offer a course just for the fairer sex.

The school uses BMW F650GS bikes to give people a good knowledge in how to ride off-road and head instructor and Dakar Rally rider Simon Pavey felt that even more women would come on the course if a ladies only session was introduced.

The first session will be held over the weekend of July 31/August 1 at the 4,000-acre Walters Arena enduro park in South Wales.

Participants will learn the basic techniques of off-road riding including how to lift, balance and manoeuvre a bike in awkward conditions; slow-speed manoeuvring and control; balance; throttle and clutch control; the improvement in braking ability; ascending and descending hills safely and confidently and how to deal with crossing water.
