Adam Raga has taken the ninth round of the Indoor Trail World Championship in Livorno.

The Gas Gas rider took the win with 21 points, six clear of Albert Cabestany on the Sherco, and seven clear of Takahisa Fujinami on the Honda. Fujinami took third despite a broken wheel in the final zone of the qualification lap, and narrowly lost out on second place at the end.

British multiple world champion Dougie Lampkin faced disapointment in the final when he was eliminated after the first lap due to three failures in a row.

“I didn’t do well,” said Lampkin. “My starting position didn’t give me much reference of the zones, but this is no excuse. I failed in decisive zones and fifteen points lost is an insurmountable difference when competing against rivals as strong as those.”

Raga leads the championship on 88 points with just three rounds to go. Cabestany is second with 69 points, Lampkin holds onto third with 45 points, and Fujinami is fourth with 42. The next round takes place on Saturday, March 12 at Buenos Aires in Argentina.
