Rattray's season is over

Red Bull KTM rider Tyler Rattray will miss the remainder of the MX2 FIM World Championship due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

Rattray will be operated on tomorrow, Wednesday May 11, in Belgium and will have to rest for three-to-four weeks. He then faces rehabilitation over a further three to four months. The squad has already lost Marc de Reuver when the Dutchman snapped all three ligaments in a pre-season race, and now field one lone rider in the shape of Britain’s Carl Nunn.

“I’m so disapointed,” said Rattray. “This was going to be my year. My fitness and confidence were at an all-time high and I knew I would be going for the title. The plan now if to get strong for 2006.”
