Other notable riders will be former European Supersport champion, Angelo Conti, and American Superbike racers Mark Miller and Jeremy Toye. Both American riders have experience of road racing from the Macau GP. And 20-year-old William Dunlop will make his TT debut in 2006.

In the sidecars, HM Plant’s Dave Molyneux and Craig Hallam will be favourites, with Molyneuz already holding 11 wins and 18 podiums. They’ll be challenged by Nick Crowe and Darren Hope, Steve Norbury and Scott Parnell, Klaus Klaffenbock and Christian Parzer, and Tom Hanks and Phil Biggs.

Both Klaffenbock, and British driver Andy Laidlow, will be using revolutionary new F2 chassis sidecars designed by Louis Christen. Laidlow will be partnered by passenger Patrick Farrance in Team Laidlow Farrance Racing, managed at the TT by 10-time world champion Steve Webster MBE.
