Brit MX: Round three

The third round of the Maxxis British Motocross championship took place on Sunday, April 30, 2006 at Matchams Park in Hampshire with Ken De Dycker dominating the MX1 class.

In the absence of reigning champion John Coppins, his CAS Honda team-mate was first away at the start of both races, with consistent and strong rides keeping him out of reach of Stephen Sword. The Scottish Kawasaki rider was riding his second GP spec KX450F-SR. Third place was taken by the Honda of James Noble in the first race, and by the Honda of Gordon Crockard in the second event.

In MX2, Tommy Searle benefitted from a red flag and a restart after making a poor getaway. From the restart Searle was able to lead to the chequered flag from Carl Nunn and Gareth Swanepoel. The second race was Billy Mackenzie take the win from Swanepoel and Searle.
