BSB homework

1 of 1

Here is my son’s half term homework which he has chosen to do on motorbikes, the attached pic is of Laurence and his brother Joe with James Haydon at Thruxton.

Laurence’s Top Ten Favourite Riders 1. James Haydon (BSB) 2. Casey Stoner (MotoGP) 3. Valentino Rossi (MotoGP) 4. Johnny Angel (BSB-Superstock Cup) 5. Ian Lowry (BSB-Supersport) 6. Jorge Lorenzo (MotoGP-250cc) 7. Alvaro Bautista (Moto GP-250cc) 8. Andrea Dovizioso (MotoGP-250cc) 9. Bradley Smith (Moto GP-125cc) 10. Tommy Bridewell (BSB)

Laurence’s Top Three Motorbike Classes. At number one…… The British Superbikes (BSB) Fact File! The BSB bikes are 1000cc or less. In the top division of the BSB, Ryuichi Kiyonari is the reigning British champion. He rides on the Honda Fireblade CBR1000RR (Michelin tyres). Because he is the reigning champ, he has a choice of which number he uses. He had a choice of his normal number (2) or he had the number 1 plate. He chose the number 1 plate. Although it’s the British Superbikes, it still has some foreign riders. There are two very good foreign riders in BSB and they are Gregorio Lavilla (Spain) and Ryuichi Kiyonari (Japan). Kiyo is on his way to WSB. GOOD LUCK KIYO!

At number two… Moto GP Fact File! This is the most popular motorbike series in many different countries! There are not any English riders in MotoGP but Chaz Davies has just joined. There is an Australian named Casey Stoner and he has won the championship now no matter what happens. He rides the works Ducati, it’s the fastest bike on the track but it sill has all the same capacity as all of the other motorbikes so it is fair. He has also raced in 125cc and 250cc classes.

At number three… World Superbikes (WSB) Fact File! WSB is a popular class, and for once a British rider has actually won the championship! His name is James Toseland and he plays the piano just like myself! He rides on the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade. Earlier on in the year he crashed out of a race but luckily he got away with only a few bruises!
