Organisers of the Manx Grand Prix have released an official announcement today informing of the passing of John Goodall after the veteran suffered fatal injuries in a crash during yesterday’s MMCC Classic Senior Race.

Sixty-seven-year-old Goodall from Haverfordwest in Wales lost control of his Matchless G50 at Ballacraine in the same race he won back in 1983.

The engineer by day had received 40 replicas during his Manx Grand Prix career and earlier this month was awarded the Spirit of the Manx award.

The Manx Motorcycle Club wishes to express sincere sympathy to the family and friends of the late Mr Goodall.
