Isle of Man TT: Bruce Anstey looking for superbike victory

1 of 1

Kiwi Bruce Anstey has won six Isle of Man TTs since making his debut in 1996 but a superbike win has always eluded him – even though he’s the third fastest man around the mountain course with his best lap being 129.045mph.

This year the Relentless by TAS Suzuki star is going all out to put that right.

Anstey said at the Isle of Man TT 2008 launch: “I’ve struggled on the superbike in the past but we looked at the new bike and its really good.

“We’ve no problems with the superstocker and the 600 goes well but last year’s superbike wasn’t quite right. We had some chassis problems which we’ve sorted.”

TAS Suzuki have signed Aussie Cameron Donald – the fifth fastest man around the Isle of Man TT course at 128.445mph – for this year to run alongside Bruce Anstey.

TAS are also helping sidecar pair John Holden (51) and Andy Winkle (44) after the pair just missed out on their first Isle of Man TT win last year.
