2009 Triumph series announced

T3 Racing, The British Motorcycle Racing Club and Triumph UK have announced the Triumph Triple Challenge Championship format for 2009. 

The series will be run under the MRO banner which series promoter Tony Scott said:  “Provides a stepping stone from which riders can progress to BSB.

“Two examples are last two season’s championship winners James Dye & Mark Cringle who have both gone on to ride for National Teams at BSB. 

“This close association with MSVR saw the Championship appear twice at BSB in 2008 and we are pleased to say that scenario will again repeat itself for 2009 with the Championship appearing at both the Thruxton & Mallory Park rounds.

“Over the last two seasons the championship has gone down to the last round giving testament to the strict performance and experience controls exercised within the series, no trophy hunters here. 

“But of course these are not unique features, just carefully planned and orchestrated ones to ensure an even playing field with close racing. 

“Unique features come in the form of a trackside parts support service as yet not seen in any other series, this ensures the only reason you go home is because the weekend is over. 

“We provide a dedicated tyre service as well as organised test days with trackside assistance from trained Michelin Tyre Technicians straight from the Moto GP paddock and suspension set-up help direct form the manufacturer.

“All this and more is about you having a great season of racing and us continuing to drive this championship forward.”
