ACU Awards 2012 Hottrax Motorsport Endurance

The UK’s only domestic Endurance Championship, run by Hottrax Motorsport has been sanctioned to award a “National” title by the ACU.

There are 4 classes in the Hottrax Motorsport championship with the Clubman class scooping up the rookies and less experienced, alongside the National class. Each of these classes has races for 600 and 1000 machines.

It’s the 600 and 1000 National Class winners that will get the accolade of being ACU endorsed “National Endurance Champions”.

Hottrax Motorsport Club Secretary Dave Mabbutt received the news warmly: “This news gives a massive boost to Domestic Endurance racing in the UK. Endurance Motorcycle racing is massive in other parts of the world, and we’ve long needed to get some recognition at the foundation level of the sport in the UK to drive us forwards.

“Our teams really deserve this reward for their dedication, commitment and the fight they apply to every element of their racing. Now as the National titles are additionally backed by the ACU, the winners will be awarded the accolade of being ACU Cup Champions in 2012”

In other positive news for the series, Hottrax Motorsport have also just secured title sponsorship from Motorcycle law specialists Sorrymate.com for the second year running.

The series begins at Brands Hatch on 10th March and runs through 8 rounds until October.
