Trials legend Toni Bou will lead the Spanish team this Saturday night in the Trial des Nations, in Nice, France. Bou’s Spanish team, the reigning champions, start the contest as clear favourites ahead of France, Japan, Italy and the UK.

Bou, who clinched his ninth consecutive X-Trials indoor world title only weeks ago, will be joined by the man who finished third in that series, Albert Cabestany. Their main competition on the night may be last time’s runners up Team Japan, consisting of the Honda duo of Tomoyuki Owaga and Takahisa Fujinami.

Team Breat Britain, meanwhile, will be led by current national champion James Dabill, lining up on the Vertigo machine developed in cooperation with another British legend of the sport; Dougie Lampkin. Dabill will be joined by close friend and British series rival Michael Brown.

The indoor event, this Saturday night, will take place in the Palais Nikaia, on the outskirts of the French Riviera town.
