Dan Linfoot is the latest MCE British Superbike rider to be confirmed as competing at the 2017 Suzuka Eight Hour.

The Honda Racing star is set to join three-time British Champion Ryuichi Kiyonari and Yuki Takahashi in the Moriwaki Honda team at the prestigious endurance event next month.

“I’ve always wanted to do it so I’m looking forward to it,” Linfoot said. “The chance came up quite late and I jumped at it. I’ve never been to Suzuka before, so I’m heading out to do a test between 11th and 13th. It’s mega to be teaming up with Kiyo and Yuki Takahashi, so a big thanks to the Moriwaki team for giving me the chance.

“I’ve never done any endurance racing before so I’ve got a lot to learn about race strategy and stuff like that. I’ll just take it as it comes and use it as a big learning experience. The team have good form and the other two riders are of a really good calibre so it should be good, but I’ve a lot to learn!”

Linfoot joins a long list of names from BSB to head out to Suzuka, including team-mate Jason O’Halloran who will compete for the Sakurai Honda outfit.

Last week it was confirmed that Josh Brookes and Sylvain Guintoli will ride for the factory Yoshimura Suzuki team aboard the all-new GSX-R, while Kawasaki’s Leon Haslam will once again front-up the Team Green effort.
